About Joining the Tucson PD

Joining the Tucson PD?
I am seperating from the military, and i was just wondering if anyone else worked for the Tucson PD. I was thinking about joining them. Didnt know if a CJ degree is necessary, i already have a two year degree but its in explosive science. I would appreciate any info though, thanks.

I was a cop for a short time in AZ. There is a shortage of police that is statewide. You will get in just fine. AZ POST does not require a degree and you will have an associates degree in CJ when you are done at the academy. I can't speak for Tuscon PD because no one in my academy was from that department but you should be able to find out what their standards are from their website. Integrity is always the biggest issue with police department hiring. Just make sure you are as accurate as possible when filling out the applications and paperwork.

About What are the safest/best neighborhoods for apartment living in Tucson, AZ for a family of three

What are the safest/best neighborhoods for apartment living in Tucson, AZ for a family of three?
My family is relocating from Cleveland OH, to Tucson, Az in about a month or two. My husband will be working in the 85723 zip code and the commute should be between 10-15 miles from home to work. We have a eleven year old child and a six year old German Shepherd. We're coming from suburban living and would like the convenience of a suburb, but not the hustle and bustle of the city. Thanks for your input.

About Is it legal for my employer to force everyone to work overtime

Is it legal for my employer to force everyone to work overtime?
I live here in Tucson Arizona and my employer is forcing everyone to work a minimum of 5 hours per week of overtime. I know that's not very much time. But I'm just wondering if it's legal for them to do that? I'm paid hourly and do get paid for overtime.

Yes, it is legal. You work at the discretion of your employer. As long as you get properly compensated, they can make you work as much as they need.
2 :
not that i know of? according to the federal laws you only have to work 40 hours a week? they can't force anyone to work more that is slavery??
3 :
Need more facts. Are you paid for the overtime? Are you an hourly wage-earner or salaried? Is there a contract?
4 :
yes it's legal. if you are being compensated for the time.
5 :
Mandatory Overtime Law There is no Federal mandatory overtime law per se, that specifically regulates so-called forced overtime. The only Federal "overtime law" is under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), which also regulates equal pay, child labor and the minimum wage. Mandatory Overtime under the FLSA Federal overtime law under the FLSA does not prohibit employers from forcing employees to work mandatory overtime. In fact, the FLSA doesn't at all restrict the total number of work hours that employers may schedule for employees who are age 16 or older. The FLSA restricts work hours only for employees who are younger than age 16. In other words, there are no protections under the FLSA for workers 16 and older who refuse to work mandatory overtime. As a result, workers 16 and older who refuse to work it are "legally" subject to employer discipline, up to and including discharge.

i know sears and target hire people under 18. if you live close to any of these stores, you may want to apply there. they usually hire you for the holidays and are flexible because you are in school. they will allow you to work after school and on the weekends.

These are questions that is mostly asked in Monasteries around the world. Everyone want to know what lies beyond the Cloud of Unknowning. I would recommend Convents. which have retreats ( 50-75 a day W/ Meals included) and they would welcome someone like you with question of eternal things. The Sisters are very vibrant and outspoken about dream and visions.

This is done in some counseling settings. Many counselors who have been trained in Gestalt counseling have pretty extensive training in dream interpretation. If you do dream interpretation through counseling, and you do it in an established private practice, you can expect 8-20 clients/week at about $100/hour. The tricky part is getting licensed to counsel in your state (AZ i assume?). You have to have your M.A. in counseling and then log a certain amount of counseling hours before you get your license.
